Yang (or Yang Yang, when calling her to come) is a female DMH kitten
who was born on April 17th, 2005. She was one of four kittens born to
their feral mother, called Pretty Kitty by her colony's custodian.
Pretty Kitty had eluded previous attempts to trap her, so when she
had this litter we were determined that it be her last. Unfortunately
after she was spayed, she
ignored her kittens and her foster started bottle feeding all of them.
All of that being said, two of Yang's siblings did not live long enough to name them. Yin (her brother) and Yang were named because when they slept together, they reminded us of the symbol. However, Yin suddenly stopped eating, and before he could reach the vet, he crossed over the rainbow bridge. Yang has done well as a bottle fed kitten. Her mother was returned to her colony after she recovered from her spay and was well enough. So Yang will be her last kitten. So far Yang is the spitting image of her mother, who is quite attractive. Yang is gray with white facial markings and whiskers that make her quite a cute fluff ball. But don't worry, although Yang was orphaned, she has had three wonderful CARA foster cats to play with and mother her. She has also had the company of her foster's two dogs to help amuse her. She loves to jump on all who pass by, including the human ankles. Now that she is 3 months plus old, she has begun to climb and hop up on chairs and tables to continue her investigation of the world. She has no fear, as most kittens her age. She is a delight to watch in her adventures and would love a family to call her own, with or without other pets.
