Yahoo - always the playful athlete!

Miss Yahoo

Purrs and hugs!

Baby picture! Only 5 weeks old

Yahoo is a very sociable black and white "tuxedo" kitty. She is athletic and playful. She does not do well with aggressive cats, but she gets along well with Wilhelmina, a gentle girl who defers to her, and Winston, a kitten who wants to play. She could be adopted either alone or with a very congenial cat that won't bully her. She would be ideal for a couple or a single person who enjoys interacting with a sociable animal. She likes having a routine; in fact, she notifies her foster mom when it's time to go to bed! She sleeps with her foster mom each night, and has bonded closely with her.

Yahoo was abandoned with her sister Google at the tender age of 4 weeks. When someone found them and brought them to a local Petco store, one of our volunteers happened to be there. She knew these tiny babies would need special care so she took them home. The girls had to be bottle fed, but they were so hungry this was no problem. They both had colds and eye infections though, so they had to be medicated and their little faces cleaned until they recovered. They recovered and have prospered and grown until beautiful young ladies. Google found her home, and Yahoo wants hers too!

Yahoo has mild asthma, but is symptom-free because she gets Flovent by nebulizer twice daily. Even though she's not keen about the treatment, her foster mom has figured out a good way to manage it. Yahoo loves wet food, so her foster mom gets the nebulizer ready and then gets a a can of wet food out of the refrigerator. When Yahoo hears the can open she comes running! Her foster mom first gives her the nebulizer treatment by gently holding her in place with one hand and giving the treatment with the other, then tells her what a good girl she is and rewards her with a small portion of wet food. Works like a charm and one person can easily do it alone. :) Yahoo's Flovent medicine costs $30 per month ($1/day...about what you'd pay for a cup of coffee.)

Yahoo craves interaction and touch. She loves to have her head held and face stroked. She waits at the door for her foster mom, and likes to sit quietly by her foster mom's side while she works on the computer. She's not a lapcat, but will snuggle at your side when you sit on the couch. She has a VERY cute habit of crossing her paws when she is sitting quietly... the little minx knows her paws are very beautiful! Yahoo enjoys it when her foster mom talks to her, and is a talkative kitty. She knows her name... her foster mom has a special way of saying it and she gets quite excited when she hears it. :) She also loves having visitors; overall, she's a loving girl who very much wants to connect with human beings and is a wonderful companion.

Although Yahoo is sociable, she doesn't enjoy going to our shows (she would much prefer for someone to visit her in her home). If you are interested in Yahoo, please contact us to arrange a home meeting or for more information.
