Pierre is a pure breed Ragdoll cat born on December 17, 1994. He is a blue-mitted Ragdoll, meaning he has white front paws that look like mittens. He also has what appears to be white boots on his hind feet. He is an inside-only cat and should not be allowed to roam outside. Ragdolls are very large docile cats which are not known to defend themselves very well.

He is very laid back, enjoys being around his family, and is also sociable with visitors. He gets along well with dogs and lived harmoniously with a parrot. He meets his owner at the door after work and rolls on his back to receive a tummy rub; so dog like! :-) He would be good for a single person, couple or senior citizen. He'll sit at your feet while you work on the computer and will watch TV with you on the couch if allowed. Pierre would like to find a home where they will dote on him. :-) Whether it be a family with kind children, or a single person or couple, Pierre will work well as long as they are gentle with him and he will be included as a valued part of the family. .

Pierre is in very good health. His vaccinations are current, and he's scheduled to have his teeth cleaned. He has a very minor and common health issue: a blocked tear duct which requires his eye to be periodically wiped (sometimes daily, sometimes less frequently). He has no behavior issues, uses his scratch post and does not bother curtains etc. He is cooperative when his owner trims his nails. Many indoor-only cats who get annual vetting and proactive care live into their late teens and even past 20 years, so we believe Pierre has many wonderful, loving years remaining.

Pierre is seeking a new home because his owner has asthma which is getting worse, including attacks and hospitalization. She has resisted rehoming her beloved friend, but is forced to do so to preserve her own health. She wants a wonderful home for him, and will take whatever time it requires to find the right one for her special boy.
