Here's a baby picture of me. That me on the left, and my littermate Packard on the right. |
Hi! My name is Maylee, but my friends and family call me May-May.
I was adopted by my mom in January 2004 from CARA, when I was about
14 weeks old.
My mom has loved and cared for me for almost 6 years. Unfortunately
she is no longer able to care for me. She is devastated, but she is
hoping that you and CARA can find me a loving and caring home. That
is something special that CARA does - if for some reason someone
can't keep their adopted pet, that pet comes back to CARA.
I'm a big girl, but that doesn't slow me down. I love to play. When in the mood, I will play fetch with a ball, a mouse, or a rubber band. I also to sleep in the sun. I can also be a bit shy. I am very sweet and love to have my head rubbed. I am good with kids. My mom has a 9 month old baby and I've never been bad toward the baby. Usually I just run away if the baby crawls after me. I used to have a kitty friend, but she passed away in August from cancer. My mom believes that I will do well with other cats, if introduced slowly. I love my food - a little too much! We have been working hard to get me to lose some weight. I currently weigh about 20 pounds, and I eat Overweight Management diet recommended by the vet. I am very healthy, and my mom kept up with my vaccines. So I hope I can find a good home where I can live the rest of my life. If you'd like to meet me, please contact my friends at CARA. Maybe we could meet at one of the adoption shows. My mom and I just want to thank CARA for taking me in. Without rescues like CARA, more animals would end up in shelters and possibly euthanized before their time. |
