Jethro was left on the doorstep of a vet hospital, along with an adult cat, Elly May, with no note or explanation or medical history. Since Elly May appeared to have been nursing lately, we assume that she is Jethro's mother. Both cats are healthy and have been vaccinated and tested negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV. Jethro is a very playful young cat, about 4 or 5 months old, who just loves teaser toys. If he gets hold of one, he will drag it off to his lair (the litter box in the back of his cage) and try to shred it. He's bored out of his mind living in a cage in the vet hospital, and he's really hoping he won't have to stay there long. Jethro is a very cute black and white cat, with a white chin, bib, paws, and tummy, and just a little bit of a milk moustache. Of course he can't understand why anybody would just callously dump him, but he was actually pretty lucky. Some people dispose of unwanted cats in very cruel ways, but we don't want to go into that on Jethro's web page. We'd rather just point out how adorable he is, in hopes that somebody will want to take him home and give him a good life, with plenty of teaser toys and lots of play time. If you are interested in meeting Jethro, please call Beltsville Veterinary Hospital at 301-937-3020 and ask for Shari or Michelle. |
