Q What can I donate?
A Donate autos, trucks, motorcycles,
vans, commercial vehicles, jet skis, snowmobiles, motor homes, buses, and
even boats. It doesn't even have to run. Remember that you must have clear
title in your possession.
Q Who is Donation Line, LLC?
A Donation Line, LLC acts as an administrative
agent for non-profit organizations seeking vehicular donations. They take
care of the paperwork and contact the towing companies to facilitate the
donation.
Q Is my donation tax
deductible?
A CARA is an approved 501(c)3, so your donation is tax deductible. You will receive a
formal letter from CARA certifying that you have donated the item. Since each
case is different, it is best to consult your tax advisor for details.
Q Can I donate a vehicle that hasn't
run in years?
A Yes, we are able to accept most
vehicles running or not except where the value of the car is less than the
cost of towing. After contacting Donation Line, LLC, they will inform you if
this is the case.
Q Is there any cost to me?
A No, Donation Line, LLC pays for the
towing of your vehicle.
Q What do I need to do to make a
donation?
A Call Donation Line, LLC toll free
anytime at 877-227-7487 and ask for extension 1768 (this will direct your
donation to CARA). OR submit the Vehicle
Donation Form
via e-mail. Be sure to select Companion Animal Rescue Alliance as your charitable
organization choice. You will be contacted by the towing company within 2
business days.
