This strikingly handsome specimen of a cat is Callyx. He came to CARA as
a young kitten and was adopted, but the older, more laid back cats
found a kitten much too
much to deal with, and Callyx found his way back to CARA at 9 months old.
Since his return, Callyx has learned to expend his wealth of kitten-esque energy on playing with little mousie toys and playing with his feline foster brothers and sisters that are a little closer to his age. He does have a lot of energy and would fit in well into a family with another young cat or a cat savvy dog. Callyx may be frightened of a dog family member at first, but he did live with three Boxers at his first adoptive home, so we know he can play well with brothers and sisters of the Canine species as well.
Callyx just turned one year old in May 2008, so he has the manners of
an adult cat and the abundant energy of a kitten (but don't tell him
that he's not a kitten anymore... he won't believe you!). Adopting
Callyx would be more than just adopting a cat... It would be bringing
a little piece of unconditional Love wrapped in fur into your home...
and an inexhaustible supply of toy mice!
