Arlo

Courtesy Posting - Not CARA

Arlo was born in a feral colony sometime around the end of September last year. All the adult cats in that colony were trapped and spayed or neutered and returned to their caretaker, but Arlo and his brothers and sister were brought inside to be socialized and find homes. They turned out to be sweet kittens who quickly learned to trust people and to enjoy the comforts of domestication. Arlo proved to be an especially personable kitten; he could make anybody laugh with his winning ways and silly games.

Arlo is searching for a home with an opening for a somewhat rambunctious but very adorable half-grown kitten. He loves to jump and explore high places, so if you have valuable breakable items lying around, he might not be the cat for you. He is a little shy at first with strange people and new places, but he adjusts quickly. Arlo enjoys the companionship of other cats and would love to have a buddy to play and cuddle with. His foster Mom likes to call him R (he was actually named after R Street in DC), but when she is talking like a pirate she calls him "Rrrrrrrrr."

Arlo is negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV, up-to-date on shots, and neutered. If you're interested in adopting Arlo, please send an email to Janet at janetcatmom@yahoo.com to arrange a meeting. (Please include "Arlo" in the subject line.) The adoption process for Arlo will be similar to that for a CARA cat (application, contract and tax-deductible adoption donation to CARA).
