Location: Metro DC/Baltimore area Housebroken:
Yes but shouldn't go long periods Allman is a stray that obviously had a home at one point. He plays fetch, knows sit, walks nicely on a leash, loves water, and is very laid-back in a quiet home. He needs to be placed with women only since he is fearful of men, indicating he may have been abused by a man. Allman is good with his foster's other 4 dogs (2 male, 2 female) and 2 cats. However, he hasn't been receptive to other new dogs. Thus, an adopter would need to do a trial/transition period with other dogs, and Allman probably shouldn't be homed with more than 1 or 2 other dogs. Allman's foster says he is house-broken but has seemed to need a dog door when no one is home. Since that could be an unsafe situation for him, it would be better if Allman could be placed in a home where he's not alone for long periods. His foster says he has made a lot of progress in a short time, and is definitely worthy of a second chance. If you would like more info about Allman, please contact VAlyndaluvslucy@aol.com. |
