Thing 1
Thing 1 and Thing 2 were caught at an apartment complex, where they had been living under a building with the rest of their family. All told, there were 8 kittens in 3 different litters; it was quite a clan. The rest of the kittens were adopted and are doing very well in their new homes, but this brother and sister are still looking for their own special adopters. They were born around the beginning of March 2008, so they are no longer kittens but are now teenagers. Unlike human teenagers, they don't want the latest gadget or sneakers. They are happy with toys and treats and soft cozy beds.

Thing 2 (the girl) is a little shy but very friendly with her foster Mom. She will even come out to meet strangers. Thing 2 (the boy) is still quite shy. He's a sweet Thing, but definitely timid. It will take time and patience before he becomes comfortable in a new home. But he is worth the effort, and if someone will give him a chance, in time they will be well rewarded with his gentle friendship. The Things are both beautiful glossy black cats with soft velvety fur. They would love to be adopted together, but the most important thing is for them to find a safe, loving, permanent home.

The Things are all negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV, are up-to-date on vaccinations, and are spayed/neutered. If you are interested in adopting one of them (or both!), please email Janet at JanetCatMom@yahoo.com to arrange a meeting. (They are living in Riverdale MD, next to College Park.) Please include "Thing 1" or "Thing 2" in the subject line of your email. The adoption process includes an application, contract, and tax-deductible donation.
