Yankee Doodle, Liberty Bell, and Sparkler were born outside and wandered the streets with their mother for weeks, never staying in one place long enough to be trapped. They were finally rescued on the Fourth of July, which is of course how they got their names. Sparkler has been adopted, but Liberty Bell and Yankee Doodle are still available. Because they had limited experience with humans when they were young, they are timid with strangers at first. But they are very outgoing and affectionate with people they know. In fact, Liberty Bell follows her foster mom around the house and sleeps cuddled up next to her. We estimate that the kittens are about 1-1/2 years old. They have been spayed/neutered, are negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV, and are up-to-date on shots. Liberty Bell has rather unusual coloring. She is a golden brown tabby with caramel swirls and a little bitty beige tip on her tail. Her color varies a lot with the lighting. Yankee Doodle wears an elegant gray suit with stripes. They are living with Brad and Newberry and the Train Station Kittens, and would love to be adopted with either a sibling or with one of their foster friends. |
If you are interested in any of these kittens, please email Janet at JanetCatMom@yahoo.com to arrange a meeting in Riverdale, Maryland. (Please include "Kittens" in the subject line.) The adoption process includes an application, contract, and tax-deductible donation.
