Sid

Sid loves a good piano concerto

Sid's story is a sad one. He was traumatized in his previous home environment, where there was one family member who didn't like him. When the family was away, he would throw up, upset they were gone. There were no other problems; Sid is declawed and faithfully uses his litterbox.

Because of his previous experience, adjustment to his new foster home has been slow. Sid is a litle shy with other cats, but plays with Tommy and gets along nicely with the others. He is frequently grumpy with his foster mom, as if he is afraid she will get rid of him too. There's hope: he has recently given her a few headbutts and climbed into her lap. He will need a patient adopter who is willing to let him take his time adjusting to a new home. We think that person will be amply rewarded once Sid adjusts to the changes and realizes that life can be great.

Sid has a small health issue, a heart murmur that he's had from birth. Testing shows that his heart is only slightly enlarged and he has no arythmia. Sid is thriving and contented and will probably have a long healthy life.
