Taffy

Toffee - action shot

Hey girls, over here!

A visitor from New Jersey spotted a mom cat with 3 kittens on Rt. 1 in Maryland. The next day one of the kittens had been hit and killed by a car, so she spring into action. She found one of our volunteers with a trap, and they were able to catch the little family. Mommy is feral (wild), so she was spayed and released. The kittens have a brighter future, because they are being cared for by their CARA foster mom.

Toffee is a brown tabby girl - she was the first one the rescuers caught. Taffy is a gray tabby girl with some white. The little girls were very scared and Taffy was nothing but hisses at first. But "love conquers all", and thanks to the loving care they've received they are now both little darlings. Taffy is even sweeter than her sister Tabby. They were about 7 weeks old and weighed only 1 lb and 5 oz when they were rescued, but have grown a lot since then! We think they were born around July 1, so they are now about 6 months old.
